Clementon Park & Splash World is one of the most historically significant amusement parks in the United States — founded in 1907 by New Jersey assemblyman Theodore B. 💧 Big Wave Bay: At 23,000 square feet, Big Wave Bay is the largest wave pool in South Jersey. Free life vests provided for kids under 42″. Lounge chairs and large umbrellas surround the pool. On select nights, season pass holders can attend Dive-In Movies at the pool.
💡 Visitor Tip: Check the park’s calendar before visiting — some rides rotate in and out of operation for maintenance, and not all attractions may be running on any given day. Buying tickets online in advance (from ~$21.99) saves meaningfully over walk-up prices. Arrive at opening for shortest lines, especially at the water park.
Sahara Sam’s — Indoor Option
Connected to the Clementon Park family of properties is Sahara Sam’s Oasis — a separate indoor/outdoor water park open year-round. Memberships start at $6.99/month and cover unlimited access to both Clementon Park & Splash World and Sahara Sam’s. A great rainy day backup, or a standalone winter/shoulder-season option for families who want water park fun regardless of weather.
Sahara Sam’s features water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, indoor pool, hot tub, a lily pad balancing area, surfing simulation, and a large splash zone with a tipping bucket. Full food service and alcohol available — a more adult-friendly atmosphere than Clementon’s outdoor park.
