Starlux Mini Golf opened in 2016 as part of the retro-styled Starlux Hotel complex at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Rio Grande in Wildwood — and immediately set a new bar for boardwalk mini golf on the Jersey Shore. Unlike the typical kitschy windmill-and-obstacle courses, Starlux was designed with real thought: three distinctly themed 9-hole courses, each with genuine visual identity, generous shade, trivia challenges, and the kind of creative detail that makes you want to play all 27 holes.

Operated in partnership with Morey’s Piers, it sits half a block from the Wildwood Boardwalk and directly adjacent to the Starlux Hotel, whose award-winning Doo Wop era renovation is one of the most photographed properties on the Shore. After your round, Kohr Brothers frozen custard is right on the property — a Wildwood institution since the 1930s.

The Three Courses

The Beach Course
9 Holes · Ground Level · Sand & Shore Theme
The Beach Course is built around the largest artificial sand dune and castle in the world — a towering, beautifully sculpted centerpiece that dominates the layout. Holes wind through sandy dune features, beach-themed sculptures, and coastal scenery. It’s the most photogenic course and the one visitors consistently mention first. Shaded spots throughout.

The Ocean Course
9 Holes · Ground Level · Water Features & Sea Life
The Ocean Course features giant water fountains and creatures of the sea — and a genuine water hazard challenge. Errant putts can end up in the water features; nets are provided at every hole so you can fish your ball back out without penalty. The most strategically demanding course of the three, with drops, spirals, and water elements that test even experienced players.

The Boardwalk Course
9 Holes · Second Level · Wildwood Trivia at Every Hole
The Boardwalk Course is elevated to the second floor, with plastic palm trees, vintage Wildwood memorabilia, and a unique trivia challenge at every single hole. It’s equal parts mini golf and local history lesson — great for families who want to learn something about Wildwood while they play. The elevated position gives views over the surrounding neighborhood and toward the ocean.

The evening atmosphere is especially good: the fire pit, the lights on the courses, and Kohr Brothers custard in hand make for one of the more atmospheric wind-down experiences on the entire Wildwood strip.
